A Place at The Table – Second helpings
A weekend conference for LGBT Christians, their friends and supporters, hosted by Affirmation Scotland took place on June 6th – 8th 2008 at Scottish Churches House, Dunblane.
On the Saturday we explored sexuality and spirituality under the guidance of Kathy Galloway, writer, poet and leader of The Iona Community. This was a stimulating and thoughtful day!
Affirmation Scotland was formed in response to the debate within the Church of Scotland in 2006 on the blessing or marking of same-sex civil partnerships.
Affirmation Scotland offers support to all, believing that there is a place in God’s heart for all people and that the Church is called to embody that acceptance.
After the great success of this year we will be doing the same again next June. Watch this space!
